The main character, Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, is a scavenger living on the desert planet Jakku. She finds a part of a map that could lead to Luke Skywalker, the last Jedi. Rey joins forces with Finn, a former stormtrooper portrayed by John Boyega, and Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, who is on a mission to find his son, Kylo Ren. Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver, is a dark side user and the leader of the First Order. The complicated relationship between Han and Kylo Ren adds an emotional layer to the film.
The Force Awakens brings back many familiar Star Wars features, like lightsaber fights and space battles, while also introducing fresh characters.
