The film begins with billionaire industrialist John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) and his company, InGen, successfully cloning dinosaurs from ancient DNA. To showcase this incredible achievement, Hammond invites a group of experts to his island, Isla Nublar, where the park is located. Among the guests are paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), his colleague Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum). Their initial excitement soon turns to skepticism as they confront the ethical implications of resurrecting extinct species.
As the park opens to the public, a series of catastrophic failures lead to the release of the dinosaurs from their enclosures. The tension escalates as the group struggles to survive amidst the chaos, particularly when they encounter the terrifying Tyrannosaurus rex and cunning Velociraptors. Spielberg masterfully balances suspense and awe, using pioneering visual effects and animatronics to bring the dinosaurs to life, creating a sense of wonder and terror.
