Morbius, released in 2022, is a superhero movie based on the Marvel Comics character Michael Morbius and directed by Daniel Espinosa. It takes place in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, which also includes films like Venom. Jared Leto plays Dr. Michael Morbius, a skilled biochemist with a rare blood condition. In a desperate effort to heal himself, he tries an experimental treatment using vampire bat DNA. Unfortunately, the experiment fails and turns him into a living vampire, giving him super strength, speed, and an intense craving for blood.

As Morbius tries to manage his New powers and control his hunger for blood, he confronts his old friend and business partner, Milo, played by Matt Smith, who undergoes a similar change and becomes a dangerous enemy. The film looks at Morbius’s struggles as he seeks a cure while battling the monster within him.
Morbius mixes horror with superhero action, but it faced criticism for its pacing, script, and weak character development. Though Leto’s acting and the special effects received some praise, the movie failed to impress critics and viewers alike, earning mostly negative reviews. Despite its poor performance, it has attracted a bit of a cult following because of its notorious response.
