Shang-Chi starts off living a regular life in San Francisco as a valet. However, his past surfaces when the Ten Rings organization attacks him. This event forces him to confront his father, Wenwu, portrayed by Tony Leung, who leads the Ten Rings, a secret and powerful crime group. Wenwu wields the mystical Ten Rings, ancient items that give him immortality, immense power, and command over an army.
As Shang-Chi faces his family’s history, he struggles to balance his upbringing with his wish to create his own future. During his journey, he learns more about the Ten Rings and his link to an ancient magical world. He is joined by his friend Katy, played by Awkwafina, and together they fight against his father’s forces while uncovering important secrets.
